As I walk in my wooded neighborhood gathering leaves, moss or lichen for the subtle textures and colors produced under the canopy of trees, I muse on some of my favorite mid-century artists, Alexander Calder and Helen Frankenthaler. The interplay between natural forms and mid-century design captures my imagination. The result, back in my studio, is a new line of earrings.
