On a landscape painting expedition in New England everyone was painting the magnificent vistas. However, I was captivated by this clump of leaves and springtime blossoms. I wanted to enter creatively, this dense and mysterious world of earth and foliage. I was completely enraptured with this small but complex wellspring of inspiration and beauty.
