To not just want and ask for protection from others, but to learn to protect others from myself. This is a core aspect of collectivism. It’s a 180 of how we usually think in our radically-individualized, self preservation survival mode from which we mostly operate. It’s difficult, but it’s made me see another perspective, that others can be a victim of me, my opinion, judgment, and interference on their personal path. I choose to enjoy people as they are without my input.
