This work plays with the ethereal beauty of water hyacinths growing in a pond in front of a neighbors house. I was inspired to collage bits of French lace onto the canvas to imitate flowers petals floating on the sea breeze, thus incorporating my love of fabric within a painting. Since is is on watercolor canvas, it is sealed and ready to hang with no glass.
