I placed two lemons at eye level on lace. While painting this minimal set-up, I employed expressive color to heighten its impact. This piece hangs in the Executive Chairperson’s office for the National Endowment for the Arts, in Washington D.C. The original is oil on canvas.
Rebecca Gabriel holds an MFA degree from the University of Massachusetts.
